HalaRUN for Juan was a community run for Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. JCI Roxas Halaran organized it in partnership with Run Capiz on Sunday, June 14, 2026, starting and finishing at People's Park, Baybay, Roxas City. Its rallying line was "No Juan Gets Left Behind."
The run was held under the chapter's Man-Up flagship and served as its implementation of the JCI RISE national program (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being).
Race day
Registration was just PHP 50, which covered a wristband, hot meals and surprise giveaways. Online registration filled up, and 150 walk-in slots opened on race day. Gun start was 5:00 AM on 5K and 10K routes along the coastal road.
Over 600 runners took part. Chapter members ZIN Joses and James led the pre-run warm-up, then took the stage again for a post-run Zumba session in the park.
Two more projects at the finish line
- Blue Flow QR campaign (SDG 6): the run debuted the chapter's QR codes printed on water bottles, so people could sign up as Water Guardians. See the Blue Flow Initiative.
- Hot Meals on Wheels: the chapter's mobile kitchen served fortified rice and vitamin porridge to runners and spectators. Run Capiz and its partners also ran a post-run food station.
Thank you
The chapter planned the run with Run Capiz from its May meeting. Capiz DRRMO and Roxas City TMU kept the course safe. Sponsors were Baia Cafe, Luna Coffee, Feeka Coffee + Bistro, Tabai Coffee + Test Kitchen, Weika Marketing, Meika Cycle, Tuyo de Capiz Main and Destiny City Church. The run had its own anthem from the "Who Won? / Juan" EP of the chapter's HALAD AUDIO LAB.
Run with us next year. Join JCI Roxas Halaran.
