Sampukanay 2026 was billed as the first crew-vs-crew dance battle in Roxas City. It was organized by StreetKingz Fam - SJR and held over three Saturday nights at SamePlace, Grandville. JCI Roxas Halaran supported it under its Lupad Lokal flagship, which backs local artists and the local scene.
The chapter's part
StreetKingz Fam built and ran the event, with event director Ayeng and co-founder Tatay Ronnie (John Ronnie Espinosa) leading the production crew. The chapter's role was support:
- It sponsored hydration for the battles.
- It gave custom Tuyo de Capiz Main tokens to the judges, Bam, Hannah and Neo.
- Deputy Secretary Joe hosted as "Emcee Bacon", with beats by DJ Pio. His track "Hit" scored the prelims recap.
Three nights of battles
Twelve crews from across Capiz entered the prelims on June 27, 2026. Entry was PHP 100. The night also blended in OGs from Batang BBoys / Raw City Flava and saw the launch of the AFROxas community. The semi-finals ran on July 4.
The grand finals on July 11 matched El Sueño Fam vs CMDT, KOK vs Lifestyle R.C and The Minus Five vs MACA. The final became a three-way battle that narrowed to MACA and CMDT tied at two rounds each, settled by a 1v1 sudden-death tie-breaker.
Partners
SamePlace was the venue sponsor and BABY STEPS sponsored the event. The chapter's posts give the credit for the platform to StreetKingz Fam - SJR.
On July 4, during its Human Duties Week, the chapter also held an open dance cypher and street dance training at the Mercado de Roxas Night Market with Batang BBoys / Raw City Flava and StreetKingz Fam - SJR.
