For Provincial Arbor Day 2026, JCI Roxas Halaran joined a tree-planting activity at Brgy. Manoling, President Roxas, Capiz. The Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (CaPENRO) spearheaded the activity, and several organizations took part. The chapter joined as one of the collaborating groups.
What was planted
Together, the groups planted 1,000 native fruit tree saplings. Local landowners partnered with the planters for long-term maintenance and tracking of the trees, so the saplings will be cared for after planting day.
Part of Man-Up Month
The chapter took part as one of its Man-Up Month activities. June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, and the members treated the day as both service and a mental reset. Working in the field, meeting like-minded people and taking in the rivers and forests of President Roxas was, in their words, as much about checking in on their own peace of mind as it was about planting.
The day was tagged under JCI Philippines' 2026 Think Green, Go Green campaign. The recap reel used "Tree Hugger", a bossa nova track from the chapter's HALAD AUDIO LAB.
